Join Our Toy Library 

How to Join


Visit us during our open hours to become a member of the toy library.


When you arrive at the library, say hello to one of our friendly volunteers. They will give you a tour of our spaces, answer any questions you have and help you to complete the required paperwork.


A membership form is required to be completed to join the library. You will need to pay the membership fee and the refundable deposit at the time you join. The preferred payment method for fees is EFTPOS, however we do accept cash payments. 


Once this has been completed, you are welcome to start borrowing toys from our collection immediately. 


Our Fees

Annual membership fee: $20

New member deposit: $30 (refundable upon membership ending provided all toys have been returned in good condition)


Weekly hire fees: 50cents to $6 per toy. Weekly hire fees are waived for two weeks every time you volunteer for a shift. You can borrow up to 4 toys at a time with one of these being a 'big' toy if you choose. More information on borrowing is included in our membership agreement.

If your personal finances are tight, we are very happy to negotiate a reduced membership and deposit. Please speak to one of our shift volunteers or Contact Us.

 

Who Can Join

Anyone can join Meg's Toy Box - we love new families! 

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, or carer of young children you can become a member of the toy library. You will have access a wide range of quality toys for an affordable price.

Volunteer

Our toy library needs volunteers to operate, so we do ask all members to give back some of their time and help out during the year. This allows us to keep membership fees low and still provide great quality toys to our community. 


We know all families are different so we have plenty of options to suit busy schedules.
