Our toy library relies on volunteers to operate. We ask all members to contribute some of their time during their membership with Meg’s Toy Box.
Volunteers are crucial to the running of the toy library as they ensure that the toy library can open for shifts, catalogue toys and run our end of year stocktake.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends and we guarantee you'll get a warm fuzzy volunteering feeling. Another bonus of volunteering with us is that you can bring your kids along to sessions and enjoy free toy borrowing!
We understand that families have different schedules, so we have a range of flexible options for you to help out.
Helping out on a shift (Wednesdays or Saturdays) is a great way to meet new friends and get to know the toy library collection.
Bring the kids along and enjoy 2 weeks of free hire for each shift you attend.
You can sign up for a regular monthly shift or on an adhoc basis.
Our annual stocktake takes place over December and January.
This is a huge event where we clean and check all of the toys in the library.
We also have sporadic cataloguing bees to enter new toys into the collection.
Lend a hand at our stocktake and cataloguing bees - Children are welcome and refreshments for kids and adults are provided.
You will receive a 2 week hire voucher for each session.
